Upper Bounds on the Communication Complexity of Cryptographic Multiparty Computation

چکیده
We give improved upper bounds on the communication complexity of optimally-resilient secure multiparty computation in the cryptographic model. We consider evaluating an n-party randomized function and show that if f can be computed by a circuit of size c, then O(cnκ+nκ) is an upper bound for active security with optimal resilience t < n/2 and security parameter κ. This improves on the communication complexity of previous protocols by a factor of at least n. This improvement comes from the fact that in the new protocol, only O(n) messages (of size O(κ) each) are broadcast during the whole protocol execution, in contrast to previous protocols which require at least O(n) broadcasts per gate. Furthermore, we improve the upper bound on the communication complexity of passive secure multiparty computation with resilience t < n from O(cnκ) to O(cnκ). This improvement is mainly due to a simple observation.

Upper Bounds on the Communication Complexity of Optimally Resilient Cryptographic Multiparty Computation
We give improved upper bounds on the communication complexity of optimally-resilient secure multiparty computation in the cryptographic model. This improves on the communicati...

In this paper, a new broadcast encryption scheme is presented based on threshold secret sharing and secure multiparty computation. This scheme is maintained to be dynamic in that a broadcaster can broadcast a message to any of the dynamic groups of users in the system and it is also fair in the sense that no cheater is able to gain an unfair advantage over other users. Another important feature...
متن کاملConstant-Round Multiparty Computation Using a Black-Box Pseudorandom Generator
We present a constant-round protocol for general secure multiparty computation which makes a black-box use of a pseudorandom generator. In particular, the protocol does not require expensive zero-knowledge proofs and its communication complexity does not depend on the computational complexity of the underlying cryptographic primitive. Our protocol withstands an active, adaptive adversary corrup...
متن کاملRobust Multiparty Computation with Linear Communication Complexity
We present a robust multiparty computation protocol. The protocol is for the cryptographic model with open channels and a polytime adversary, and allows n parties to actively securely evaluate any poly-sized circuit with resilience t < n/2. The total communication complexity in bits over the point-to-point channels is O(Snκ + nBC), where S is the size of the circuit being securely evaluated, κ ...
